Newborn with different sized feet.

Hello all, my baby was born last night and he was born on his 40th week and everything went well. Doctor says his vitals are perfect and that there are no serious issues he can tell physically, but there is something he wants to check. Our baby's left foot is slightly larger than his right. You can't tell from a distance unless you place them next to each other. His left foot is a little under half an inch longer than his right foot. His leg sizes are the same, so no one leg is longer than the other, and he is able to move them without a problem. His feet aren't crazy big or anything they look fine just one larger than the other. Doc said he will have some x-rays done just to check, but that he isn't too concerned about it. I was wondering if anyone has ever heard or seen anything like this? Is this normal? Will one foot catch up to the other? I'm just really worried for his health. Thank you.

Congratulations on having a healthy baby boy. You must be very excited. I have never heard of this phenomenon, but I am sure that is nothing to worry about. I am sure the doctor will take the x-rays and tell you that everything is ok.
