Plan Ahead for Potty Training

The easiest way to potty train your child is to keep their diaper dry all of the time. It is very important to change the baby's diaper as soon as it is wet. The baby will get to where he doesn't like to have it wet and will begin to go long periods of time with it dry. You can start setting him on the potty chair and he will begin to use it at a very early age. This is one reason it is so good to use cloth diapers and it's much cheaper.

We show our children how to walk, talk, eat, sit, and crawl. Why don't people understand that we have to show them how to go to the bathroom. They learn everything else by mimicking; that's how they learn bathroom. Take them with you when they begin talking and can mimic what you say and do.

I always took my daughter in with me although not always by choice. She would just barge in. It does help to let them see how it's done so to speak. I don't know about planning ahead, but when my daughter got to be 2 we started putting her in big girl undies so when she got wet, she got wet! She didn't like that too much and decided that going in the potty was preferable.

Good tips guys - I started out with cloth diapers but the convenience factor and me being on the go alot made me switch to disposable. I think if I would have been more focused though I could have managed it.
