Pre natal vitamins and nausea

What happens if you can not take pre natal vitamins because they make you sick and you have too much nausea. Are there special kinds of pre natal vitamins for a woman in those cases?

Mine have made me sick but I have started taking them at night right before I go to bed and I haven't had any more problems with them.

I take mine at night right before I go to bed with a glass of milk. That way if they are making me nauseous I am asleep and don't know about it!

Let your doctor know they're making you sick. He can prescribe another type of vitamin that maybe won't. Maybe you can do what Georgiamom suggests, but I wake up when I'm nauseous.

I had a really difficult time with prenatals in the beginning of my pregnancy. I ended up just taking a folic acid capsule each day, and taking a B-6 to help calm my stomach. I did that every day, and on some days would try the prenatal. After a while I was able to take the prenatal with food and was okay. I think your body actually works up to being used to it. At first, it is just so much to absorb. I switched prenatals about 3 or 4 times before I found one I really liked. My sister did the same thing, trying different ones, and we both have chosen the same prenatal to continue on with, and love it. If you want more information on what I have taken, ideas, etc... feel free to message me!!
