Registry or not?

My friend wants to have a baby shower but she doesn't want to use registries at any of the stores. She says that the last time she did a registry, no one bothered to even look for the things she wanted. I told her at least people will have the option and get an idea of what she needs. What do you think - registry or no registry.

I think registries are always the best way to go. If not at least people need a list of things you need or the theme of your nursery.

I agree. Might as well do it and if people choose to use it, they can and if they don't..oh well.

I don't really know how I feel. I always look at the registry but I don't always buy from it. I like to buy what I want to buy, ok so I might buy a couple things from the list and then something that I pick out. If she has one, I say she needs to register at a couple of stores. Not all the really high priced ones.
