I was invited to a shower for an old high school friend who is actually a surrogate mother for her sister. She's carrying her sister's baby. But I'm not sure if I should get something for her (since she isn't going to be a mommy) or a gift for the baby?
This is rather a strange concept, but would be rather nice if handled well. I would go for a gift for her, since the shower is for her and at the end of this she will have no baby to show for it. Something to say thank you for the tremendous sacrifice she is making.
