I've got a friend who wants her shower after she has her baby. So we are planning it 2 weeks after her delivery date. I find it a bit odd, but she wants people to know what sex of the baby and all that. I say get an ultrasound and find out. It's not my baby or pregnancy though. Ever heard of this?

I've been to a few showers after the baby was born. They were not planned that way, the mom just delivered quicker than expected. I think it's a fine idea. Perhaps she isn't feeling all that well and wants to enjoy it.

I have also been to showers that were held after the birth. They called it a welcoming the baby party though. It is nice because then all the family and friends that might not get a chance to see the baby otherwise can go and see it.
