Showers for Moms who Adopt Older Children

I'm looking for some ideas on this. I have a friend that is adopting two sisters, ages 8 and 15 months. I know there are things that she could use, and the children don't have any toys or anything. Do you think it would work to give a shower for the mother and the children and have the 8 year old as the honored guest as well?

That sounds like a really good idea. It would probably help the kids feel more welcomed too. If you are looking for some cute ideas for gifts, I can suggest a few.

Seasame, Dora the explorer, Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, children books, coloring books and more!

Check it out the link. If you see anything you like, I'll give you 10 percent off. These are all officially Licensed products.

I think this is a wonderful idea. I am sure you are going to get a lot of people wanting to help your friend. She is doing such a great thing for these girls.

Absolutely you should include the 8 year old. Taking on two kids is a lot of responsibility and I am sure your friend can use the help with toys, clothes, diapers, etc.
