Single & dating

Single parents, you need company. You have been dating this hunk of a man or this beautiful lady, and everything is going great. You feel it's time to introduce this interest to your child. How do you do it?! I'm so at a loss now. Yes I'm in that situation, and I need advice please!

I did not let my children meet my significant other for about 7 or 8 months. I did not want them to get attached to someone that would not be around. I also wanted a woman to want me for me, not my kids. They all get along great now.

That's the thing. I've been with this guy for 9+ months. I've never brought him back home anytime, even when my daughter is not in. We really connect well with each other and he seems genuinely excited to meet my daughter. I'm just scared and have been thinking of the "what ifs" a lot. I really do not want my daughter getting attached to this man and then things don't work out. It's bad enough that she never knew her father. I think, I'll just wait it out until things get more serious. But what if I take them out together one time and introduce this man to my daughter as just mom's friend? I really want to see how my daughter will take to him. Ohh what do I do! I just want a man to want me for me and my daughter as well.
