Sleep Crying

My daughter has a cold right now and it is completely pitiful. She could sleep last night unless I was holding her upright, and even then she would moan or cry constantly. I am dead beat of course today from lack of sleep, but she eventually got some decent sleep.

What causes this sleep crying?

Aw poor little dear! I hate it when they do that, it's so sad! I'm not sure what causes it. I always just thought it was like lucid-dreaming sort of stuff that happens when you have a fever.

My puppy does the same thing, so I think its just not sleeping as deep and dreaming. He always seems to be running and jumping and digging which leads me to believe that. If we use the time we are dreaming to remember what we've done that day babies have so much more new in their lives it must be exhausting.

The fever didn't come on until morning but it is entirely possible that it was the cause of this particular incident. It has continued since, we are now on the fourth night.

I will be glad when she is well again.
