Sleep Talking

It would seem that 90% of our issues are sleep related, looking at this subforum! Last night my daughter suddenly called out for me. I could hear that her cry was different, so I went quickly.

I walked in to find that she was up on her knees, talking (not understandable) and clawing at the bed sheets, and then tossing her hands over her shoulders like she was picking something up and throwing it away.

I sat down and pulled her to me, and she opened her eyes, looked totally dazed, so clearly it was totally in her sleep.

Do any of your kids talk in their sleep? Is there a trigger, like over tiredness?

My husband used to do this when he was stressed and fighting with his mother. Usually when he wasn't getting enough sleep as well. He still talks in his sleep, but no more fighting and flinging himself about.

To me it sounds like she may have been dreaming about losing something and digging for it.

I suspect she was over tired and that we have some more to come if this week is anything to go by. We have had the worst sleep lately, and I am struggling so badly to get us back on track.

When I was younger I used to get up at 4 am and take my clothes into my mom and aske her to help me get dressed. She thought it was triggered because I had just been introduced to my very first big girl bed and I was having a hard time not sleeping in her room.
