Teeth ?

My son has six teeth, four up top, two below. He's had these all for 6 months now. When should I expect the next set to start coming in? He's 14 months.

It's hard not to worry, but his teeth will soon come in and I have a funny feeling that they will all pop up together and before you know it you will be brushing like crazy.

Be grateful

Although there are averages, teeth will come in at varying times from child to child. Be thankful that your son's are later as my dentist told me that the later the teeth come in, the stronger they will be. This seems true to me since my oldest has had very few cavities and she didn't get her first teeth until she was 11 months old. My second daughter starting teething at 3 mos and she has very soft teeth with numerous cavities.

Expect them to pop up when you least expect it. Thats what I have come to learn, sometimes you think their taking a break and their not, they are just waiting til your not expecting it.

My oldest kid didn't get his first tooth until he was ten months and then didn't get another until he was one year old. My second kid started teething when she was three months old. It's amazing how different each baby is in terms of development.

You'll know the teeth are coming when he's intolerable and kicking and screaming in excruciating pain! My son got his first 4 teeth when he was 5 -6 months and didn't see the rest until he was a year and a half.
