Temper Tantrums

How do you deal with your toddler's temper tantrums? I have been through this before, but its been awhile! My 18 month old is the sweetest little guy ever, but he sure does throw a fit when he doesn't get his way!

Timeout. Although my neighbor thinks I'm just jumping on the Super Nanny "naughty spot" bandwagon its how I was raised and how many parenting teachers tell you to deal with your child. One minute per year, minimum of one minute. Set the timer, if you move off the spot it gets reset.

I hold mine tight until they calm down. Then I send them for time out. Then I talk it over with them.
