optimistic1 Junior Member Join Date: 01-16-09 Posts: 1	Tests at the 13 week period for defects. Hi, Im not sure what is was called, but the OB doc ordered some tests to be performed at the 13 or so week period. She said it was optional and it was to detect chromosomal defects like down syndrome, and other things. I wanted to know if anyone new about this type of test, and how it is performed, the risks associated with it, and what your overall opinion is about it. Thank you
