too much sleep?

My friend has a 5 month old baby boy. She says that he sleeps really well. Now to the point of concern, he sleeps about 22 hours of the day! I don't believe this is 'normal' and it seems like too much. Anyone else?

That is too much yes. I would be worried that a baby of that age, sleeping that much, had heart issues and was sleeping too much because of that. I'd get him seen by a doctor.

Definitely too much! The baby is not awake enough to get enough to eat to keep him healthy. He should be waking to eat every 2-3 hours.
