Was your husband helpful?

Mine wasn't. He was more interested in ordering a pizza when I was at the height of pain. I do have some friends though who say their husbands were their strength during labor. I think that's really great and it's the way it should be.

Oh yes he was! He was great! I was in some major pain and he was feeding me ice chips and rubbing my back. He was also doing the push exercises that we learned in class.

I hope he will be a great help. So far, he has been a great help during the pregnancy. I have no doubt he will raise to the occasion.

Yes my husband was great. He was always there to do what I needed him to do and right there to hold my hand and leg when I was pushing. He even caught one of my kids because the doctor wasn't in there in time.

Yes, my husband was helpful. He made all the calls and went and got our parents and brought them in and then when it was time to deliver he kicked everybody out and held my hand and leg and was very happy about the whole thing. He even slowly walked (which is hard for his really long legs) all the grandparents in because he wanted to prolong them finding out the gender as all were really curious.

No he was not helpful at all with our daughters birth. He was too interested in watching the Farm Report on the TV and sitting behind me so I couldn't see him. My mom and best friend had each hand. And at the point my dad left the room he did to until my dad told him to get back in the room!

Fortunately, my husband was helpful. I wish he could have been the one delivering but other than that, he tried to be very comforting.

I had a c-section so pretty much all my husband had to do was sit there and hold my hand. He was a huge help before they took me in to prep me for surgery though. I was scared to death and crying and he kept his pockets stuffed with tissues and kept wiping my eyes and my nose for me. I don't think I would have survived the fear I felt that morning if he hadn't been there to support me.
