Water birth

I wanted to do a water birth but my water would not break and I had to get out to have them break it. As soon as they broke it the contractions were so fast I could not get back in the water. 4 pushes later and my daughter was born. Anyone here ever do a water birth?

No I haven't but wish I could have done a water birth. I have heard alot of good things about it. I heard it helps with the pain and is just more comfortable.

Never done a water birth but wish I had of. I always had my kids in a hospital. I think it would be alot messier though. Maybe less painful and comfortable though.

That was some quick delivery. I never heard of 4 pushes and out. I do hope mine is as good as that. I keep hearing of labors of over 12 hours and deliveries with lots of pushing and stress.

My first was only 45 minutes of actual pushing but 4 pushes is amazing! I would like to do a water birth with this one as I have also heard it is less painful and less stressful on the baby. I was all natural the first time so I could compare then.

Man, that kid must have really been ready to come out and meet the world! I am way to afraid to do a water birth. I know it is safe and all but there is just something that freaks me out about it.

My fist labor lasted forever. It took hours and hours of pushing. With my second child, the one with 4 pushes I did yoga, meditation and saw a special chiropractor. I contribute all three of those to helping make that birth quick.
