What do you love and/or hate about being a stay-at-home mom?

I hated it when I was working outside the home and I would be so tired by the time I came home and got to put on my "mommy shoes." It is such a blessing to me to stay home. I have a work-at-home job, so I am by no means able to spend as much time with my child as I would like, but he sits by my desk and plays and I take frequent breaks to change diapers, fix meals, play with him, take him outside and pull him around (and around and around ) the backyard on the wagon, and all the little things that I would miss if I worked outside the home.

I love staying home with my kids! I can' t wait for school breaks so they can be home all day. On the other hand, I hate all the screaming, fighting and bickering that comes with having the kids home all day, lol.

I enjoy being at home with my little girl so much. If I have an errand to run we go together and sometimes we just hang out together all day playing and watching cartoons together. I dread so much for her to go to school next year, but it will only be for a half day so that will allow me time to get things done around the house and work on homework while she's gone. I honestly don't think there's anything I hate about being a SAHM other than not having the income I used to bring in. However, gas prices are so high these days I'd have to make really good money to be able to afford to work outside the home.

I love the time I get to spend with my children. It so so precious because I know it will not last forever. However, it can get lonesome being home all day every day with no adult interaction.

I used to be a stay at home mom for almost two years. I went back to work a few months ago, in April. The only thing I liked about staying at home was having my children near me, but I kind of disliked everything else. For an active person, who feels the need to constantly engage in intellectual work and collaborate with other people, it can be quite frustrating to be a SAH parent.
