I admit that the day found out I was pregnant with my first baby I went out and bought a little baby outfit! I guess I was just so excited about being pregnant that I wanted to celebrate. For my second baby I was much more laid back.

I didn't actually do a lot of buying until the last three months. My mother-in-law was very superstitious and she was so afraid that if we bought a baby diaper or bottle of baby power I'd lose the baby. It was the rule for her back in her old country and we let her have her way because she was ill and we didn't want to cause her anxiety.

I haven't really started yet. I've been a little cautious as well. I am also waiting to find out the sex of the baby before I spend my money.

We started shopping when I was about five months pregnant. I was obsessed with stocking up on diapers and wipes and my husband was dying to get the room set up.

We started after I stopped having morning sickness. When I was so sick every day all day, it was hard to really think about shopping for anything! Then we started and we seem to be speeding up every week!

It was fun to start looking for cute outfits or things for the nursery. I guess I started once I started to show and could let my excitement be evident.

I also started as soon as I found out. I know people say you should wait until you are at least 3 months old but I was too excited! I didn't buy much initially. Once I found out what I was having then I really went a little crazy shopping!

I waited until the first trimester was over, and things really picked up buying wise after we found out the sex both times. I am pretty sure my mom started buying things the day we told her though!

I was so happy to finally be pregnant that I was out at the shops even before I told my husband that we were definitely pregnant. We both spent a great deal of time together out shopping for the baby's room. Strangely we didn't argue very much when we were working on the little guy's room. It was a wonderful time for both of us.
