My oldest was pretty chunky when she was a baby. Triple decker thighs and everything. I only fed her healthy food and let her quit eating when she was done. When she turned two she started slimming down and now she is quite average. So unless your pediatrician is worried I wouldn't be.

My six year old is considered 'over-weight' by the doctor's charts but he said not to worry. My husband's family are very tall and big boned. Some are over weight but not many. She is tall for her age and weighs over sixty pounds but she isn't fat, a little pudgy like a lot of kids. She is easily the tallest kid in her 1st grade class. I do try to watch what she eats because I don't want her to actually become overweight.
