Where's the Reboot button on my uterus? It's not working right!

Hi everyone! I'm new to these boards, and new to everything to do with babies, pregnancy, and even fertility. My computer nerd skills are no use except to help me Google!

Anyways, I've been on Depo Provera since I was in high school (I'm 23 now), because I have always been really forgetful and couldn't keep up with a daily pill. While I was on depo, I didn't have any periods, which for me, was a bonus. But now that my husband and I have a pretty stable life, regular money, and feel as ready as we'll ever be, I regret taking depo, at least for that long.

My last shot was in December of 2007, so I have been "unprotected" since late April/early March. I didn't expect to get anything until then, and even then would have thought it would be light at best. But I haven't had a single drop and now I'm starting to get a little anxious. Okay, I lied. Second week of May I had cramps and moodiness, and then almost litterally a couple of drops of what I can only assume was a period, and that was it. I would have thought I'd get another bout around now, but all I got was a head cold (which I am going to assume was unrelated to anything happening in my uterus).

Is there anything that I can do to get myself back on a regular track? I also have some nagging in the back of my head that it might not be the depo because even before any BC I was always really irregular with my periods (went 7 mos without it when I was 14/15).

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Other than making sure your nutrition is optimal I don't think that there is anything you can do. You simply have to wait for the depo to get out of your system and then let your body reset, and if you've been on it a long time I understand it takes longer for that to happen.

After doing some internet reading, I found an article that fully explains PCOS... maybe I'm being a hypochondriac, but a lot of it sounds very familiar to what I am experiencing (I was reading http://www.womens-health.co.uk/pcos1.asp).
I'm not sure if it would be good or bad if this was the case, because on one hand, at least we would know what was going on, but on the other, it would just feel like I've got "broken parts". Even if I can put it together with some metaphorical duct tape, it's still not the same as a good one.
