My question is who was in the delivery room with you at the time of delivery? I have friends that either had friends and family both in room and a friend that it was just the husband and wife. Wondering how we will do things and looking for suggestions.

We just wanted the wife and I in the room at the time of delivery. My parents and hers waited out in the waiting room when the doctor announced it was time for delivery. We wanted it to be our special moment.

In the hospital where we live they don't allow anyone except the husband in the delivery room. My daughter's mother in law travelled hundreds of miles to be there then they had her wait outside. I had the job of looking after my other grandchild so I didn't even go to the hospital until afterwards.

Just me and my husband. With all the screaming I did, I doubt if anyone else would have wanted to be in there! Hee, hee, well, it wasn't quite that bad but it definitely felt like a private moment (despite the doctor and nurse) for us.

I have never been able to understand the women who have EVERYBODY in the delivery room it just seems like it should be a private thing for you and your partner to me.

i had my boyfriend, my mother and my sister in the delivery room with me, these are the people im closest to so i felt like they could be in the room, no biggie.
