Wolf Pack Ambrosia

Hi I think this recipe is soooo yums! My daughter loves it as well. She loves helping me out in the kitchen, especially the stirring part. Here it is!

Wolf Pack Ambrosia Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 1 banana-slice them up
  • 1 11-ounce can mandarin oranges
  • 1 cup fresh or canned, drained pineapple chunks
  • 1 8-ounce container low-fat vanilla yogurt
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • optional: ice cream cones
Preparation:

  1. Put banana slices in a large bowl
  2. Open can of oranges and pour juice into a small bowl. Add oranges and pineapple chunks to the bananas in the large bowl.
  3. Add yogurt to the large bowl and stir yogurt and fruit together with a wooden spoon.
  4. Add marshmallows and some of the juice you saved from the oranges to make it taste just right.
  5. At lunchtime, the child can pour the fruit into the cone and eat - without a spoon.

This sounds so good! Do you think it will mess up the recipe too much if you add/exchange the fruit? I am thinking about adding strawberries or even grapes - would that be too much?

The beauty of cooking is experimenting!

I really think any fruits will do well with this recipe, but don't take my word for it as I've never replaced the bananas (I'm crazy for bananas) with anything else!

Try it! Strawberries sound good! Then post the results and let us know please!

This sounds wonderful, especially with the heat we have been having lately. I think I am going to make enough for me to have some too lol! I always make a fruit salad at Thanksgiving and it gets eaten up so I am sure these will too.
